is there a possibility to receive the subscribed categories in a daily digest mail?

There is what they call “Activity Summary”.
We have it disabled by default on the platform because it is tailored more to a “look what you missed while you were away” logic. It tries to boost engagement as they document it.
That means that you would not get a digest for things that happened while you were online on the platform; which would be more confusing than useful.
What could work if you only want to see specific topics/categories (on the web UI though) is to create a filter (see our FAQ about this).
Then unread/updated topics in that list are highlighted so you can easily go through unread messages.
