Unbound as secondary DNS?

Hi all,

I am afraid that I have a stupid question. I have a VPS-Server in the States, which I would like to use as fallback DNS and mail-server. I've succesfully setup Unbound as a recursor at that machine (works like a charm!) 'cause I had the idea that it would be able to function as a secondary DNS-Server (my primary is PowerDNS).

I get the idea that Unbound is not able to function as a secondary DNS Server? Can someone confirm this, or point me to the right place in the manual?

Regards from Rotterdam, The Netherlands!

Your thoughts are correct -- unbound is recursive-ONLY nameserver. But
there's also NSD, a cousine for unbound, which perform auth-only functions.
The two matches each other perfectly.
