i have noticed for the past few days running unbound 1.2.1
that at random times it will just stop working with no errors in the logs
and i have to restart it to be able to browse or do "host" lookups again.
how can i track down the problem?

Set log to a file.
Increase verbosity value. 5 gives the most detail.
