Not looking for an rrd graph, but something that shows the '10 most
popular' or something that reports 'you did 200k recursive requests to
moneroocean.stream' - so that you know some end users have bitcoin
mining happening on their machines..
Does something already exist?

You might look at dnstop. It was an interactive tool the last time I looked but perhaps you can shoe-horn it into something more robotic if you need to.
